Window Genie Franchise Named to Franchise Business Review’s Top 200 Franchises
Window cleaning franchise earns high marks for franchisee satisfaction in FBR’s ‘Best of the Best’ listing
Window Genie makes it easy.
I love the support I get from Window Genie.
I knew Window Genie was the right franchise for me.
Everyone goes out of their way to serve our franchisees, because that’s what business partners deserve. Need to talk to CEO and founder Rik Nonelle? Just send him an email. Want to pick Operations Director Ken Fisk’s brain? Just give him a shout. Responsiveness like that is one of the reasons our franchisees rated us above average in satisfaction, earning us a spot on the ninth annual Franchise Business Review Top 200 “Best of the Best” Franchises ranking.
“The camaraderie of other franchisees and the corporate support you get is great,” says franchise owner Steve Sarafin of Sparta, NJ. “They do phone conferences once a month. You have the opportunity to get involved; in the early stages they do it every two weeks. On the monthly ones I try to get involved as more of a mentor. That’s the beauty of joining a franchise partnership — you have the camaraderie of people who are 14 years into it. There are a bunch of us you can fall back on.”
We’re proud to be included on the Franchise Business Review list, and we think it speaks volumes about Window Genie. To compile the list, the nationwide market research firm surveyed 26,000 franchisees with 350 brands, asking them to rank their franchise system in dozens of areas such as leadership, operations and product development, and training and support. All of the brands on the list scored above-average marks for franchisee satisfaction.
Rik knew when he started the company in Cincinnati in 1994 that he wanted to build a national franchise. Right out of the gate, he started building business systems with an eye toward duplication. By the time he sold his first Window Genie franchise in 1996, he had already built a franchisee-centric company with solid training and support systems in place. Franchisees at Window Genie know they can count on not just the folks in Cincinnati, but each other as well — and that makes a difference.
“I’ve got a lot of close friends in the Window Genie family, and I do consider it a family,” says franchise owner Jason Hatch of Des Moines, Iowa. “If I’m having a down day, I can call them and they’ll say, ‘here, try this or try this.’ ”
Another great thing about owning a Window Genie is that it allows great flexibility. It’s a day job, and franchisees don’t have to schedule work on the weekends, they don’t have to work nights, and they can take time for personal matters when they need to.
“As a franchise owner, when I need to go see a play in school at 10 in the morning, I leave the office and see it. If my mother needs a ride to the airport at 1 in the afternoon, I go do it. If I want to take the day off to go skiing, I’m going to take the day off. I don’t have to ask anybody,” says Gil Moskovitz, who owns a Window Genie in Bergen County, NJ.
